February 2024

 We started February off with a fun little elementary cheer recognition thing at the high school.  

 

After that I had a lunch date with the twins at the new place in town for boba and sushi

The twins have absolutely loved 5th grade this year and it's all because of this girl right here! Mrs. Bush has made this year so much fun for them!  Hands down the best year ever!

Celebrating my late birthday/early Valentine's day date because with busy schedules like we have, we have to get it in when we can!  David let us borrow his red Corvette to take to Nashville for dinner at The Twelve Thirty Club.

CSES Basketball and Cheerleading Banquet.  Kids got to swim at the Rec Center and then they were recognized for all their hard work throughout the season!

5th grade Wax museum project.  The boys had to research their historical figure and make a trifold poster about their life and accomplishments.  They also had to dress the part and make a speech about their life.   They had to present it at school and they were both picked to present during STEM night.

Getting 2024 started with a cute set of custom cookies! Thankful for friends and family who have supported my little cookie hobby.  It has given me an outlet to be creative and just take a moment to slow down and focus on something other than what's going on in the world around me. 

Like I said in my last post - I saved up all my cookie money for the year and did something for myself.  Spending New Years having everyone wait on me hand and foot for a change :)

Christmas 2023

Christmas season always starts the weekend after Thanksgiving with the Christmas parade (maybe on paper … but Christmas tree may have already been up before Thanksgiving)

This year we were at the very front of where the parade starts and got more candy than any parade we have ever been to combined!

Reid usually gets some sort of sickness around this time of year. It always knocks him out, and he always uses at least one whole box of Kleenex by himself.

Christmas morning we had to wake everybody up to get our day started. Our Christmas morning is really busy.

After we open up our gifts, we went to mom and dad’s to open gifts at their house. Mom and dad got Reid a scooter.

That wraps up 2023!  A year full of love and laughter and we get to do it all over again next year!  Can't wait to see what all 2024 brings!
