Soccer Season 2021

March 29th started the 2021 Spring soccer season. Reid & Kane were on a team together along with Hudson and their friend Caleb.  Todd Jennings was their coach.

Mackenzie Anderson was Liam's coach.  

First game for both teams!  Liam was the gray team.

Reid & Kane's team was light blue.  They called themselves the Titans.

All three boys had games at the same time a couple times throughout the season.  Ryan and I would take turns and switch around during the games.  Liam also got the chance to work on being a goalie this season.  He let a couple get by him but he also made some good stops too!

And just like that ... the season is over.  Just when you think they have a grasp on the game the season is over.

To end the season all the players got a donut after the game.

It was also Mother's Day weekend.  They gave each player a flower to give to their moms.

The boys really learned a lot this season and they really enjoy soccer.  As bad as I would like to see them playing baseball I love that they have found something they love to do!

April 4, 2021 was Easter this year.  I got up early and made cinnamon roll bunnies for breakfast.

They are still half asleep checking out their baskets.  Sunday mornings are always a rush to get to church and Easter morning was no different!

The Brasfield cousins!  Check out this good looking bunch!  We love Hardy Lee and soon there will be another little boy to add to the mix!  We cant wait to meet John Lytle!

Time for an egg hunt.

For dinner we went to Mark & Maggies to eat and hunt more eggs.

All the boys on the Barker side.  Pretty soon there will be another addition to this crew.  Annalise will be here in August.  We can't wait to add a little girl to the mix.  We are already praying for her for whenever she starts dating.  He will have to go through 6 boys to get to her.

You can't have an Easter post without talking about the real reason for Easter.  Yes the baskets and egg hunts are fun but I also make it a point to talk to the boys about the real reason for Easter and the fact that Jesus died on a cross for US and then rose again.  And how His ultimate sacrifice is the true reason we celebrate Easter.
