Discovery Center

I had never been to the Discovery Center in Murfreesboro and Maggie had been talking about going for a couple weeks so we set a date to go.  The little ones passed out on the way there which was perfect because then they would be ready to play and in a good mood!  Liam stayed back with Ryan.  He had a dentist appointment.

Trying to look at the water table (see the stool right beside him?)

Driving the fire truck! Watch out!

Watching the turtles swim

.... and back to the water table.

Playing in the little kids area

Using the conveyor belt to drop the veggies in the basket.

Spending some time outside before we left.  I didn't get a picture because I took video but we put all the boys in the tornado tunnel.  It cost $2 but their faces were worth it.  The wind got up to like 70 something mph.  Only for a couple seconds though.  No children were harmed!

Before we made our way home we stopped and got strawberry milkshakes.

And iPads make everything better!

Big Boy Bed

For the boys birthday we got them a new bed.  We decided on bunk beds!  I know, we are crazy!  When they called to let us know they were on the way to put the new bed up, Ryan started taking down the baby beds (insert scary cry here!)

The boys were "helping" and giving out kisses.

The bed! Its a twin over full.  We got it from Quality Furniture in Murfreesboro and they delivered and set it up for free.  I had them not put the ladder up because we don't want them to have any access to the top bunk.  I know, you can't imagine why right?  It also has a trundle underneath.  When they are older we will get mattresses for the top and trundle and they can all pile in there and sleep together!

We chose dinosaurs for the theme of the room.  I found some sheets and decorations at Target that fit with the colors of their room.

They have transitioned well to sleeping together.  I have to start out in the bed with them to get them to sleep.  If I didn't they would never stay there.  It takes them a long time to settle down and finally fall sleep.  There are many night where I fall asleep with them!

These boys are growing up too fast.  Im not completely sure if I like it or not!!!!

Liam's First Kayaking Trip

Memorial Day weekend we decided to go kayaking.  The boys and I had gotten Ryan a kayak for Christmas but I didn't have one.  Luckily Dick's Sporting Goods was having a sale on them that weekend so I picked up one for myself!  We decided that Liam was old enough to enjoy it too, so we let him tag along!

Ryan's mom and dad also bought one.  Mark and Maggie bought one as well but they were out of stock so they borrowed some for the trip.

Ryan's is the orange one and mine is the green!

Just floating along!

Liam started out with me in the beginning!

Stopping for a snack!

Just relaxing!  We had such a good time!

After we stopped to eat lunch Liam hopping into Ryan's kayak.

The crew!

Love this kid!

Monster Birthday Bash!

Happy 2nd Birthday Reid & Kane!

We had a Monster Bash!  These two are for sure a little more spunky than Liam ever thought about being so a Monster party was fitting!

Opening presents!

I love these boys more than anything in the world!  I'm so thankful to be their mom and can't wait to see what the future holds for these two!

The boys 2 year stats:

Reid

Weight: 25.44 pounds (16%)
Height: 35.75 inches (84%)
BMI: 13.99 (0.68%)

Kane

Weight: 25.44 pounds (16%)
Height: 35.75 inches (84%)
BMI: 13.99 (0.68%)

Bless them!  They didn't even make it on the curve for their BMI.  They are tall and skinny and if you didn't notice, their weight and length were exactly the same!
