Night at the Drive In

Any time we go out to do something it has to be a family affair.  With the twins being so little they can be hard to control sometimes and I'm glad to have the extra help.  We decided to take the boys to see Finding Dory at the Drive In.  Liam rode with Nana and Papa and as you can see he showed up Michael Jackson style.  I grabbed as many pillows and blankets that we could fit in the truck and loaded the twins up to meet everyone else there.

We got there early so we could get something to eat.  They actually have some really good food!  The 1st movie didn't start until 8:30 which was The BFG.

Because the first movie didn't start until 8:30, Finding Dory didn't begin until around 10:00 or after.  The twins didn't make it to Finding Dory but Liam stayed up and watched it all!

Right before they crashed!  What would be do without iPads?

Liam's Still Learning How to Swim

The last couple weeks of June began swimming lessons at the Rec center for Liam.  The twins were too little and could only sign up for Mommy & Me classes. There are 2 of them and only 1 of me so that wasn't happening!  Liam started Level 1 this year.  He doesn't like to get his head wet or go under the water.  My goal was for him to hopefully get comfortable with swimming with his head underwater!

The class was pretty big in the beginning.  There were 2 instructors.  They spent the first week learning what each individual child could do and on the 2nd week they split them up based on what they gathered.

On the last day they put each of them in a life jacket and got them on the diving board.  Liam was the first one.  I think he was excited until he realized what was about to happen.  She took him to the end and pretty much dropped him off the board.  When he came up he was shocked but excited that he was actually ok!

He didn't "pass" lessons but he didn't fail either.  Next time he has swim lessons he will go through the Level 1 on class again until they feel he is safe enough to swim on his own.  If you know me you know that my biggest fear for my children is to drown.  I can't stand the thought of that so I need my children to know how to swim.

We took the boys to the Rec center pool one weekend.  Liam still wears his puddle jumper but is a little more adventurous than he was before lessons.  The twins could care less about the water.  They cling to the edge of the pool or my leg. :)

Stopping for a snack!

One thing the sun and the pool does is wear them out!

Hand, Foot & Mouth

A couple weeks ago the boys contracted Hand, Foot & Mouth.  It's a very common thing and it spreads like wildfire.  A good friend of mines little boy had it and I think that is where we got it from.  These pictures that I have posted are the beginning stages of it and weren't so bad at this point.  I didn't take any as they got worse.  Kane had it the worst.  He had it in his mouth and had a hard time drinking and eating for a couple days.  Their feet both had it bad as well.  First day starts of with a fever which both boys had.  After a couple days the spots slowly start to form.  It took a little over a week for them to finally get over it.

Luckily Ryan, Liam or I didn't contract it but we did seem to pass it along.  Mark had it the worst out of anyone.  John (Papa) had some bumps and along with Hudson and my little cousin Hardy Lee.  Here is a picture of Marks hands!!! So painful!!!

Liam's Last Ballgame and Awards Night

I can see such an improvement in Liam since the beginning of the season.  He may not hit the ball just yet but he is getting the concept down.

We have found that the boys love sunflower seeds.  Reid just chews up the shell and all.  Here Kane is bugging Grandy for some.

They finished the season 9-4-1 which is awesome for this little team!  I'm so proud of them and how much they have grown in the game!

After ballgame snack at Baskin Robbins.

Coach Sizemore had a party at his house for all the kids.  There was pizza and lots of water involved!

Awards night was bittersweet.  Liam received his first trophy that is proudly sitting on his dresser in his room.

So thankful for the coaches who took time out of their busy schedules to teach Liam some basic fundamentals of the game.  I hope he continues in the path of ball because I remember my love for the game and all the friends I made!  I hope to spend a lot of time at the ball park in the future!

I just had to share this picture.  I don't quite remember what this conversation was about but Liam is such a good big brother and I am loving watching them grow closer!

Waterpark Fun

Some friends of my that I used to work with at Harton invited me and the boys to come to the Tullahoma splash park for hang out.  I told them I would only come if they would help me with my hoodlums!  Here Stephanie is helping lotion up these two!

The little ones could care less about the pool part but they did love these fountain things!

We stopped and ate some lunch!

I enjoyed my time with them.  I miss them because since leaving Harton I don't ever get to see them!  We always pick up where we left off!   Thankful for good friends!
