Easter 2018

For breakfast one morning before Easter I made the twins some bunny pancakes.  Liam was at school so he wasn't able to get in on the fun!

The boys were SUPER excited about them!

After breakfast we made Bunny Bait.

FBC had an Easter Egg-stravaganza.  They had a petting zoo and an easter egg hunt too!

Liam and Landon getting ready to dominate the hunt.

Our connection group at church is full of kids.  We had the fun idea of doing a glow in the dark egg hunt. We bought eggs and stuffed them with glow in the dark bracelets.  It was cold outside and the playground lights were too bright to see them glow, so we hid them in the gym.

The kids had a blast and so did the adults!

When we got home I put the boys in the bathtub, threw the glow sticks in the tub and turned off the lights.

Crossfit did the second annual Last Mile walk again this year.  We carried weight for a little over a mile around town while we reflected on what Jesus went through his last days before he was crucified.

Helping the Easter bunny get set up for the morning....

He arrived!!!

Our family Easter picture at church.  Liam had a hard time smiling at the camera because he said the sun was too bright!

For lunch we went to my aunt and uncles house to eat.  We threw some eggs together and let them hunt eggs again.  Im so cheap I just put together the eggs they had recently hunted and hid the same ones again.

For dinner we went to Ryan's parents house to hide and hunt more eggs and eat dinner.  They had to stop and take a quick pee break before they got started.

... and they are off!!!!

All together they boys had 5 Easter egg hunts this year.  I didn't get any pictures of the ones they did at school.  They are at the age where it is so fun to watch.   I tried to make sure I explained to Liam the true meaning of Easter and that the egg hunting is for fun!  The twins are too young to really grasp the concept but they will one day!

Hope Has A Midlife Crisis

I don't know what has gotten into me but I literally had a wild hair.  For my birthday I decided I wanted to put some color into my hair.  I chose to do a peek a boo color where I could hide it if I wanted to.  No one really noticed it and it didn't stay very long but I loved the color sooo....

I decided about 6 weeks later I wanted to do it again except this time I wanted it to be brighter.  I spent hours on Pinterest searching for what I wanted.  We lightened my hair some this time so that the colors would be brighter.

Here it is with some lighter pieces....

Color has been applied!

Foils removed and getting ready to wash!

Final product! Im in love with it!  Its nothing like I have ever had before.  I hope it hangs on a little longer than the first go round!  Mandy Sapp, you are a rockstar for putting up with my crazy hair coloring ideas!

We're Moving!

We have a contract on our house!!!  After a couple months of it being for sale and multiple showings, we finally found a buyer!  We put our house on the market because we have bought land beside my sister in law.  We have 8 acres we will eventually build on off of Teal Lane.  We decided to sell our house, get out of debt and start fresh.  Oh what I would give to go back to when we first got married.  We were debt free, but dumb.  Almost 9 years and 2 ridiculous car payments later, here we are.  We chose to sell, save up for a couple years and give ourselves a better foundation to go off of.

Just to reminisce a little, here is our house journey.

606 Polk Street, Manchester.
Our first home, where we brought Liam home to.

1310 Oak Drive, Manchester.
My grandparents house.  We sold Polk Street and moved into here after we bought the land in Creekside Manor.  Our plan was to stay here for a while and build up some money to build.  Little did we know God had different plans.  We found out we were having twins and brought Reid & Kane home from the hospital here.  We started building on our Creekside property when we found out we were having twins.

164 Roberts Creek Circle, Manchester.
We moved into this house when the twins were 3 months old.  Our friend Justin helped us build this house.  We love it but we are not subdivision people.  I need space and some farm animals!

3812 Murfreesboro Hwy, Manchester.
How blessed can on person be?  This was my Papa's house. It is pretty neat to be able to say that I was able to live in both of my grandparents houses as an adult.   We will be buying this house (because there is no where to rent and rent right now is EXPENSIVE)  and saving up to build on the land we purchased within the next 5 years or so.

I received the key and started moving things immediately.  Ryan is still in a cast from breaking his ankle so I moved majority of the little things by myself.  I was off of work for a week so that I could concentrate on getting everything moved.

Brought the kids over to see the new house.  They were excited!

We rented a Uhaul to move.  Some friends of our braved the rainy weather to help us out!

My disaster of a kitchen.

Moving things into the new house...

Even Bella enjoyed getting to move.

They guys taking a break while it was raining.

Time to load up more stuff!

I spent the day before we closed cleaning up the house.  I was by myself and all of a sudden it hit me.  I probably cried for 30 minutes as I was cleaning.  I wasn't sad about leaving the house.  I was remembering all the memories that had been made in that house.  There were a lot of firsts there.  I decided to take it all in and I couldn't help but take some pictures of the walls that I had created there.

Oddly, the last thing that I took out of the house was the sand from our sand ceremony at our wedding.  It was not purposeful but I realized it had perfect meaning.  The container has been cracked and broken and some sand has fallen out but some still remains.  This is a perfect interpretation of how our marriage has been these past 8 years.  We have had our ups and downs, chips and cracks but we have remained strong and grown closer to each other and to God.  No matter where we are in life we will always be together!

Mickey Live!

A couple Sundays ago we took the boys to see Mickey Live! at Bridgestone Arena.  They talk about Disney World a lot since we told them back at Christmas that we were going in the fall.  When we told them we were going to Mickey Live! they for sure thought we were going to Disney World.  Sorry kids!  We stopped at Sam's before we went to pick up a new TV for the new house then off to Nashville we went!

Goofy and Donald being silly.

Buzz Lightyear was probably my favorite!

Mark, Maggie, Hudson, Brooks, John and Joann sat a row down from us.

Hanging out during a break.

I caught Liam with a mouth full of popcorn.

Sweet Kane!

Crazy Reid!

Waiting for Mickey to come back.....

Cousin Love!

Kane passed out with his Mickey Ears on the way home.

After the show we stopped in Murfreesboro to eat at Chuy's - my favorite place.  We waited for what seemed like forever, but it was worth it!
