December 4th was Liam's 2 year checkup with Dr. Eastham. Liam hates the paper on the table and as you can see in the pictures, daddy has to distract him. He was 25.56 pounds in the 34% for his age. In length he was 34.5 inches long in the 47% for his age. They pricked his finger to check his hematocrit (which was AWFUL!) and as far as I know it is fine because I haven't heard from them. He also got 2 shots. He got his HepA shot and the last round of his Flu shot. Dr. Eastham was happy with his progression and talked highly about how smart he was for his age. After his appointment and all the crying had stopped from the shots and finger prick, we stopped by the Marble Slab and picked up some ice cream. Ice cream makes everything better :)

Wayne The Elf
This year we decided we would try out Elf on the Shelf with Liam. We decided his name would be Wayne. We watched the movie and I tried to read him the book but he was more interested in Santa than the elves. Needless to say we only made it a week with Wayne because Liam really didn't have an interest in him this year. He liked looking for him but he just didn't understand the concept just yet. So next year when Wayne arrives I think it will be more interesting for him. I realized how time consuming it is to make sure he is moved before he wakes up. It will have to be more planned out next year but now I know. Here are a couple of pictures of Wayne while he lasted.
Liam's 2nd Birthday!
November 30th. Liam's 2nd Birthday. Crazy how time flies! We did a Toy Story theme because that is what he is most interested in at this time. We had our party at Nannie's house because she has more room. We woke up that morning and had birthday pancakes with sprinkles. I threw him in the bath real quick, got him dressed and then we made our way to decorate. We had to stop from all the decorating and have a drink and relax on the counter.....
Hollyn and Adalyn weren't going to be able to be there for the party so they stopped by before and dropped off Liam's present.
It was definitely a hit!
We rented the rocket bounce house from the base. He loved it so much we had to deflate it to get him out of it!
Opening up gifts which the opening is his favorite part!
Aunt Maggie and Uncle Mark got him some cowboy boots!
He loves his books so every book he opened he wanted to sit down and read it!
Minions!!!!!
Money to go in his piggy!
I waited last minute to order his cake. I just wasn't on the ball like I was for his first birthday. Not thinking that it was a holiday weekend I was desperate for a cake. I finally found Kathy Carney who was available to do it for me and I am so glad she could because she did an amazing job. I am very picky about the look of my cakes and she was spot on! We did a small red velvet cake that Liam blew his candles out on and then I had alien cupcakes for all the kiddos to eat.

It seems like just yesterday we were on our way to the hospital to deliver him and now look at him. He is so smart and funny. He amazes me at how fast he catches on to things. His manners and mannerisms. How snugly he is in the morning time. How the first thing he does when he wakes up in the morning is tell me Good Morning and sing the good morning song. He sleeps in his toddler bed for most of the night but usually ends up in our bed early morning. His love for computers/tablets/phones and how he knows how to work each of them. Knowing his ABC's, 123's and how to spell his name. Is this all normal? Is my 2 year old a genius or do all kids know this stuff?! We are so lucky to have this sweet boy in our life and can't wait to see what this next year has in store for us. Happy Birthday Little Man! Mommy & Daddy love you more than you will ever know!
