Liam's Dinomite Donut 5th Birthday Party

This year we decided to do something different for Liam's birthday.  When I first asked him what kind of party he wanted to do he said "Dinosaurs!!!!"  That was the plan up until a month before his birthday and he decided he wanted to do a Donut party.  So I started researching a Dino and Donut party, found some ideas and went for it!

Since donuts are mostly eaten for breakfast we decided to have the party early in the morning and fix breakfast foods.  We ordered a couple dozen donuts from Donut Palace and I made his donut cake.  We had different kinds of breakfast casseroles, fruit, milk, OJ and coffee.  Oh, and mimosas.

His cookies I had made.  Donuts and Dinosaurs!

A few of Liam's friends from preschool came to celebrate with him, along with all his family!  He had such a great time!

Lindsey Duncan did Liam's 5 year pictures and she did such a good job! As always!

I threw out this idea that I saw on Pinterest and showed her ... she did perfect!!!! Even if we took 100 pictures just to get the right expressions! Ha!

Nashville Zoo/Papa's Birthday

We got tickets earlier in the year to go to the Zoo but something happened, maybe the weather and weren't able to go the day we planned.  We finally made it to the zoo in November.   It was nice fall weather and just so happened to be Papa's birthday too!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Giving Thanks 2016

Thanksgiving lunch at preschool.

I have gotten really bad about pictures here lately.  As I am sitting here writing this I am hoping that I can find something on my phone regarding Thanksgiving Day or maybe bum some off of someone else that thought about pictures that day.

.... and there is nothing.

Holidays are a busy time for us.  Both sides of the family all live in Manchester and thank goodness they aren't all at the same times!  Brasfield Thanksgiving is usually at lunch time and McWhorter/Barker Thanksgiving is at dinner.

We had lunch at Aunt Leslies and Uncle Duane's house.  We ate and the boys played outside because the weather was perfect for it.  Once we were done eating, some of us sat around the table and played the game Speak Out!  If you haven't played it then you should, it's hilarious!

We hung out there until it was time to go to our next stop.  We had dinner at Granny Mac's house.  We each brought a dish like we usually do.  We made our plates and realized we had enough to probably feed a whole other family.  After we ate a couple of us played Speak Out - it is such a fun game! (don't put the mouth pieces in the dishwasher and order extra when you buy the game.  I have warped 2 and broke one already!)

Gotta love Halloween Jammies!

It is so hard getting a picture where everyone is looking.  They are at the stage where pictures are hilarious! These are the pictures you look back at years later and remake them when you are older! Pay attention to what Hudson is doing to Liam and Kane's hilarious faces!
