Our next food adventures are carrots, prunes, yellow squash and zucchini squash. All four were big hits! A whole bag of carrots made 4 trays worth of carrots to eat on. I have noticed this time around it is not as exciting to start new foods. With Liam it was after 3 days of trying a new food we were on to trying the next one. I couldn't wait till those three days were up where we could start something new. This time around we will stay on one food for like a week before I make something new. Im just not motivated this time around. Plus I am a little busier too.
We gave prunes a try. I bought store made prunes. I was too afraid to make them home made but I found a place in my baby food book where you can rehydrate dried fruit and then make the food so I might try that next time I give it to them. The pictures I take are of the very first bites. Some of them are hilarious!
Multitasking with two hungry babies! I do this a lot when I don't have the help available. Or I give one some puffs or yogurt melts to preoccupy him while I give the other a bottle. That seems to work good too!
I cut up about 6 zucchini and it made a little over 4 trays to freeze.
They were pretty happy with the taste. Plus, I liked the fact that it was something other than orange food. I was afraid that if I didn't make them something of a different color then their little noses were going to turn orange. Looking at the next pictures, their noses already look orange :(
I cut up about 6 yellow squash and it also made a little over 4 trays.
I couldn't shovel it in fast enough!
We have started mixing flavors together and I never just give them one thing at a time anymore. It is usually a mixture of 3 or 4 different fruits or veggies. These growing boys love to eat!!!
