Farm Life

So a couple months ago Ryan and I bought 8 acres on Teal Lane in Manchester.  Mark and Margaret had bought 24 acres out there and we had been playing around with the idea of us all being out there but we finally made the decision and signed the papers.  After we signed them, we drove out and took some pictures.  This is my view of the beautiful sunset that I will get to witness on a daily basis once we are finally out there.

SOLD!

We spent a Saturday out on the land clearing out some trees and brush to make things a little more accessible.  We took some things for the boys to ride on and some lunch for them to snack on.

When we bought it there were beans planted on it so we had to wait until the beans were finished and removed before we are able to do anything out there.

This is the pond on Mark and Margarets property.  We cleared some trees and briars around it and tried to clean it up and make it look decent and accessible for any animals we decide to put out there.

The boys were having a blast and stopped to eat some lunch.

They had me working like a dog ;P

Maggie drove me around on the lawnmower to see the layout of the land - she also almost killed me.

Once the beans are harvested we will be able to do more.  We will start off with a drive way and then we can each go at our own pace to build.  Margaret says they will start to build in the spring.  I say we will build in maybe 2 or so years.  This is the last house we are building so I was to build something I will love forever!
