We're Going to Disney: Part 2

Day 4: Hollywood Studios continued ....

Jedi Training was at 6:20 that afternoon.

Liam, Reid and Hudson were the only ones who participated in our bunch.

Getting ready for the Jedi parade

"Here comes the Jedi" ..... "Here we come!"

Learning to use the Force

Jedi Trainer teaching correct form for using their light saber

Darth Vadar

Kylo Ren

Getting ready to use the force against Darth

Liams turn....

Reids turn....

Finished the night back at Toy Story Land for Slinky Dog!

Selfies with the green army men!

Line was too long to meet Woody and Jessie so I just grabbed a picture as we walked by.

Day 4: REST DAY/ MNNSHP

Breakfast was at the Polynesian Resort at Ohana's.  It was served family style and the sweet bread was to die for!

Lilo

Mickey

Stitch

They gave each kid maracas and had a parade around the restaurant

This was straight up alcohol - it was rough.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

Kane once again refusing to do something.  He refused to wear his Chewbacca costume.  I refused to fight with him.

Boy did this stroller come in handy this week!

Seven Dwarf's Mine Train.  We couldn't get fast passes for this before our trip.  We made it one of our first rides at the Halloween party and didn't have to wait very long!

My favorite ride picture from the week!  All of our faces are priceless!

Carousel

I loved finding these different spots for pictures.  When we sat down for pictures there was nothing behind us but a black sheet and the photographer would tell us where to look.  I cracked up when I looked at our MemoryMaker app and found these!

"Hey Mom! Take my picture doing this!"  Liam putting his sad/mad face on for the camera

Reid slicing Ryan's head off with the light saber

Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas are some rare characters that are only at the MNNSHP.  The line to see them is usually ridiculously long.  It was whenever we passed them.  I have read that some people have waited as long as 3 hours to see them.  I just took a picture as they walked past us.

But I did wait in line to see Aladdin and Abu.  When we originally got in line it was for Jasmine and Genie.  Halfway through they changed out.  These two were hilarious!

I tried to take advantage of every photo opportunity that didn't have a long line.

I love the effect they did for these pictures making the castle orange for Halloween!

Light posts lining Main Street had these Mickey pumpkin heads on them.

Waiting for the parade to start and having a light saber fight.

Liam joining in on the Zootopia costume parade before the Boo to You! parade started.

Boo To You Halloween Parade!

AHHH!!! I was so excited for this because there were so many rare characters in this parade.  All the Villans, Peter pan and all his crew and Oogie Boogie, just to name a few.

And TINKERBELL!!!

Reid and Kane were passed out for the parade and missed out on a lot of the pictures so we made sure to include them on this one.

Reid woke up during the parade.  Not a minute after I took this picture he puked.  Another one down for the sickness passed around that week.

Disney knows whats up when it comes to Trick or Treating.  They give you handfuls of candy and have MULTIPLE places to stop and get candy.  Some had full size candy but all was definitely good quality candy.  This may not look like much but the bag was over half full!

Day 5: Magic Kingdom ... again :)

Next time we go to Disney and want to take pictures with the castle and do them at a different time when the sun is not in our eyes!

I loved meeting the characters.  I was initially waiting in line for Cinderella's Evil Stepsisters and by the time it was my turn they switched characters.  I was the first one in line to see Fairy Godmother.  She was so sweet!

Lunch was at Be Our Guest.  This was located in Beast's Castle.  Beast is only there at night time for dinner so we didn't get to see him but ....

...we did get to try the grey stuff!

We also got to see the rose.

Belle and Beast's statue spins around in the center of one of the dining rooms.

I found a churro!  It was on my Disney bucket list!

Dinner that night was once again at the Polynesian Resort but this time at the Kona Cafe Restaurant.  Liam contracted the sickness this day.  He didn't throw up but he ran a fever and was lethargic all day!

Steak and Shrimp!

Fancy dessert

Liam had been eyeballing a remote control BB8 in the stores for a couple days.  We decided he could use the money he was given from G & Grandy to purchase it.  He was so excited!

Disney's Happily Ever After Firework show.  It was magical.  There are no other words for it.  I cried.  I cried because all week long I got to see the biggest smiles on my kids faces.  I cried because all week long I felt like a kid again.  I cried watching Kane sing "Let It Go" while sitting on top of Ryan's shoulders.  I cried because it was the busiest vacation ever and I was tired and my feet hurt but I didn't care.  I cried because I LOVE DISNEY! I'm crying now just typing this.

Day 6: Animal Kingdom

The tree of life

This was so cool to watch.  They have trained these McCaw parrots to fly around the park and when called they come flying back through the crowd and back onto their perch.

PANDORA!!!

Flight of Passage was hands down the best ride of the week!!!!!

An avatar

Getting to play with a banshee

It's remote controlled and takes some time to get the hang of.  There is a section in the store where you can pick out your banshee and buy it.  Its like a puppet.  You can make its head turn, wings flap and mouth open.  They also had a section where the "scanned" your face and made your own avatar doll.  They were both cool but expensive.

At Pongu Pongu - The Pongu Lumpia, a cream cheese pineapple spring roll and the Night Blossom drink were the best snack of the day.  The Night Blossom drink was probably the best drink of the week!

Kali River Rapids

I wasn't excited about this mickey pretzel at first but it quickly became one of my favorite snacks.  Especially when it's dipped in cheese!

Kilimanjaro Safari - you hop in a bus and the driver drives you around the safari and tells you about the animals as you pass by.

These bats were HUGE!

Tiger

Hippos

Alligators

Termite mounds

Elephants

Rhinos

Lions - doing what I wish I was doing by the end of our trip

Liam playing the drums

Meeting Daisy...

and Chip & Dale

Yak & Yeti for dinner.

This last picture taken of the week was pretty fitting.  We were all over it.  But it made for good and funny pictures!!!

Day 7: Time to go home

Look at this sad face :(

They didn't get to swim much during the week like we thought so we promised them they would swim before we left.  They met some twin girls while swimming and of course I had to document it!

Back on Mickey's Magical Express to head back to the Airport,

Our first pressed penny

My new collectible.  I love these Alex & Ani bracelets that I got on our last day at Magic Kingdom.

They make you get to the airport 3 hours before your flight.  Liam and I wasting time and taking pictures.  I didn't want to take my ears off because then that would mean our trip was finally over.

So our flight was delayed before we even left the resort to get to the airport but was then delayed probably 3 more times while waiting at the airport.  At 7:30pm our 3:45 flight was delayed once again.  Mark and Maggie were picking up a later flight than us so we ended up crossing paths while waiting on our flights.

Southwest gave each of us a $100 voucher for the delay and inconvenience.

Waiting patiently.

After picking up our vouchers I got to talking to some of the Southwest staff and asked if there were any seats left on the flight that Mark and Maggie were on.  Luckily there were just enough for us.  They were able to transfer us to that flight.  One of the crew members were nice enough to search for our luggage and make sure it was placed on the right plane.

Finally we are headed home!

All our MagicBands together

Once we made it back to Atlanta, I said goodbye to the boys and made my way to the Delta terminal to catch a flight to Fort Walton Beach to spend the weekend celebrating Niki at her bachelorette party.  Ryan and the boys started their journey home only to have to stop and get a hotel so that Ryan wouldn't fall asleep at the wheel.

We all fell in love with Disney and can't wait to go back.  The kids don't know it yet but I'm taking a girls trip in March with Hollyn.  This is definitely going to be a reoccurring trip.  We have learned some do's and don'ts this week.  Liam says we are going on a Disney Cruise next.  We will see!
