Quarantined

2020 has been a weird year.  Beginning of March schools closed as a precaution due to the Covid-19 outbreak.  Schools scrambled to prepare parents for what would end up being school work for the end of the year.  The boys would sleep in ...

Work on ReadingEggs and IXL - programs geared to each grade.

P.E. time thanks to YouTube.com

Learning Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control

Churches closed and watching the sermon via Facebook became the new normal.  Zoom calls for connection group so we could stay connected.

School nutrition made sure that kids were being fed at home.  A weeks worth of breakfast and lunch for each kids was delivered to our house.

Drawing with Rob on YouTube.com

More fun learning via computer

Walks at the park and Old Stone Fort before it was shut down when restrictions were placed.

Spending more time outside enjoying the weather and each other

Fishing a the pond on the property.  Learning to break up worms, bait hooks, cast a line and untangle the line when it gets stuck in the brush is what we learned that day.

Kane learning to wink

Nephew love

Watching church...

Learning gun safety and getting to shoot a gun for the first time.

Spending lots of time with cousins

Introducing new movies like the Goonies and many others.

CSES teachers missing their students.

I saw a different side of Liam spending so much time outside and it reminded me so much of myself and things I would do at my grandparents house when I was little.  Looking under rocks for worms and bugs, taking a hammer to rocks and things and just exploring and doing boy things.

Spending time with the connection group on our Zoom call.

Uncle Ryan got stuck so Brooks had to get his side by side and straps to help pull him out.  Quarantne had us doing more projects and exploring outside our selves.  Ryan happened to get his truck stuck not far from where our house will be built.

Mark and Maggie got the fence up and the horses moved out to the property

Brooks spent the night with his Uncle Ryan.  When he is around I don't matter :)

Spent time riding horses.

More time snuggling and cuddling.

and when there are 5 of us in a king size bed - you fall asleep where ever you can find room.

Learning how to make sourdough bread...

Shortages of toilet paper, paper towels, antibacterial products etc became hard to find d/t people stocking up to prepare for being home for a length of time.

I took these pictures from a friend who is also documenting these crazy times.  I wanted to add them as reminders of this time in our lives and how we lived through them.

Maggie and I made a trip to Murfreesboro and picked up a snack at Chilis - we also got some Margaritas to go!

Birthdays were spent with those that matter most.  Uncle Mark turned 43 in the Quarantine!

School year ended with a "drive thru" celebration.  I hate that their Kindergarten year ended the way it did.  Kindergarten was a special time for me as a child as I remember a lot of things during that time.  And probably my favorite teacher ever was my Kindergarten teacher, Mrs Vaughn.

There was a special message from Mr Jacobs when you tuned your radio to 92.7!

Who knows how long this virus/quarantine will last.  Until then we will continue to live without fear while being cautious as well. This quarantine isn't over but this blog post is :).
