Twins 9 Months

9 months old and officially pulling up on EVERYTHING!  See all that drool?

34 weeks in ....

34 weeks out.

Both of them passed out!

My birthday was this month.  January 19th to be exact.  I turned 28 this year :(  We all ate at Elmo's for dinner and I got these beautiful rings from my mom and Aunt Mandy!  They have all 3 boys names on them!

Ryan spent one afternoon lowering the cribs after walking into see this.  Since they are starting to pull up on everything, we decided to just go on and do it!

Here is another picture of their teeth.  It is still nearly impossible to take a picture of them.

Kane wasn't a fan of trying to get a picture! As of February 17th, Kane has one of his top teeth that has cut through too.

My first major blowout!  I am usually pretty good about catching it before it gets this bad!  And boy was it bad!  Gag worthy!

Puppies got a bath!  They were not happy campers and were freaked out by the blow dryer!

Their treat after bath time.  All three puppies have found a new home now.  Liam misses them but I am glad to not hear all that howling!

Alex has become one of his best buddies!  Alex usually comes over to play once a week.  They play really well together and Liam always has a melt down when he leaves.  Alex also took one of the puppies home with him!  Her name is Macy :)

Boys had to go to the shot clinic this month to finish out their flu shots.  I was tempted to not get the second round since it hasn't been as effective this year but I took them anyways.  I would have blamed myself if they had gotten the flu and I never got the second round.

Bray came to play and hang out for a little bit.  Here they are watching cartoons together.

G and Grandy took us to see the Ringling Brother's Circus!  Liam loved it!

This poor baby passed out standing up while I was vacuuming.

I have days where my headaches make me just want to lay around on the couch.  But look at this face.  They want their momma!!!!!!

Taking selfies

We have started letting the boys roam around the house.  They are getting to where they don't want to be cooped up in their play pen anymore.  Liam even crawls around the house with them sometimes.

Because of all this roaming they are getting tough knees!

Ryan rocking all his boys!

Liam decided he was going to hop out of the bathtub and warm his tooshie in front of the fireplace.  He says "Ahh.... It's warm and comfy."

It has been easy to tell them apart here lately.  Reid has started to scrunch his nose up when you talk to him.  It's too cute!

They have become little houdinis.  They try their hardest to squeeze between the the pen and the couch to get out and roam. They have succeeded a couple of times!

Kane before his circumcision surgery.

We were brave and took everyone out for breakfast at Cracker Barrel.  We survived and so did the kids! Liam couldn't shovel in his pancakes fast enough.

My babies are getting so big and handsome :(   I can't believe they are 9 months old!

These are called bottle pals.  I wish they would hold their bottles when they eat so maybe these will help with that.  As you can see, Kane is still refusing to hold it... hehe! Thanks Mike and Genie Jarrell!

This years first snow/ice.  Ryan took Liam out to play around in it.

I am going to have to get crib rail covers.  They are gnawing on the rail with their little bottom teeth.
That might be my next sewing project :)

Silly silly boys!

This was a disaster.  They will not sit still for the chair picture.

This was just seconds before Kane decided to take a dive off into the floor.  I tried to catch him ... I was only semi successful but it didn't seem to phase him!  So I just gave up! Lol!

Kane's Surgery

February 3rd Kane had surgery for his circumcision revision at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.  We had to be there at 7:15 that morning.  I had a strict feeding schedule I had to go by so he had his last milk bottle at 12 am that morning.  He woke up again around 4:30 and I gave him some apple juice.  He couldn't have anything to eat or drink after 5:30 that morning.   After having to call dad to come over and jump off the Tahoe and being stuck in some traffic, we made it there on time!  We didn't have to wait very long in the waiting room before getting checked in and getting all our bracelets on.  Around 8:30 we were called back to our pre-op room.  There, we put on these cute little PJ's and just hung around answering questions and waiting around for his procedure time.

I didn't realize that our procedure time wasn't until 10:20.  He started getting restless and I just knew we were about to have a melt down for a bottle.  I walked him around the floor for a little bit until my arms got tired and I passed him off to Ryan.  He fell asleep in Ryan's arms and took a little cat nap.

I was a nervous wreck the day before the surgery.  I would cry at the drop of a hat and was just extremely stressed out.  I wasn't nervous about the procedure but I was about the anesthesia.  The day of the surgery my nerves were quickly pushed to the side by being there and talking to the staff.  Everyone was happy and made sure that all the t's were crossed and i's dotted.  I probably answered the same questions 5 different times.  We spoke to the nurse, anesthesia nurse practitioner, Humphrey the Anesthesiologist, Dr. Tanaka and the resident who was in the operating room with her, Dr. Joshi.  Even the CNO came down to make a visit (only because Ryan works with her brother) but still she didn't have to come check on us and make sure everything was going well.  By the time they came to get him I was comfortable letting him go because I knew my baby was in good hands!  The OR nurse and CRNA came to get him and we watched them carry him down the hall.  We waved at him as he watched us over her shoulder.  We quickly made our way to the cafeteria afterwards since the car trouble and traffic left us without time for breakfast.

We scarfed down some Taco Bell and made our way back up. We didn't wait very long, maybe 30 or 45 minutes, before we got a call to the podium.  We were taken to a private room to wait on the doctor to tell us how the procedure went.  Dr. Tanaka said that his procedure went as planned and that there were no complications.  She told us that we would be able to see him shortly.  About 10-15 minutes later we were on our way back to the PACU to see him.  Once we got back there he was just then starting to wake up.  He was a little wild but I quickly picked him up and rocked him.  She made us 8 ounces of an apple juice/pedialyte mixture.

His poor little IV was in his foot.

He quickly sucked down those 8 ounces and was his happy little self.  We were given our discharge instructions and were on our way by 1230 that afternoon.  Dr. Tanaka made us an appointment for 6 weeks but said that if we feel like there aren't any problems and we have no questions then we wouldn't have to come back to her office.

We were sent home with some pain medication and instructions to take the bandage off after 3 days if it hasn't already fallen off by then.  We only gave him his pain medication once.  We used ibuprofen the rest of the time and on Friday his bandage came off and we were able to bathe him.  He had a couple of stitches but they have since dissolved.  He is still swollen but getting better and it has not slowed him down one bit!  We are so thankful the the staff and OR team at Vanderbilt!  They do amazing work there!

The Circus

January 24th we took a trip to Nashville to see the Ringling Brothers Circus.  Liam didn't nap all day so of course he passed out on the way there.  I just knew he would be awful but he actually woke up in an OK mood.

By they time we got into the arena he was in a GREAT mood! My dad bought him a sword and then we made our way down to the floor to meet the circus crew.

Liam took it all in.  He didn't really like it when they got real close but he enjoyed watching them do their acts.

Family photo!

Thanks G and Grandy for the tickets!

We had really good seats.  Dad got good tickets for being a Predators season ticket holder.  We were second row from the floor.

Liam HATED this clown nose.  You can see just how bad in the next 3 pictures when he realizes that I have it on.

Elephants are my favorite part of the circus.  It just amazes me what all they have them do.  I wish they spent more time out there! Everything goes by so quick.

The motorcycles were amazing.  They put 8 motorcycles in the sphere.  It's crazy how they don't collide and hurt each other.  Liam really like them!

Lion and Tigers and .... no Bears! Oh My!

More Elephants!!!

Ryan wanted a snow cone .... and so did Liam!

The dogs were cute and super talented!  They had pigs doing the same things as the dogs!

It has taken some time but as I am writing this Liam is running around the house with he clown nose on.  Silly boy!  With the ninja turtle jammies and the bed head he has going on, he would fit right in!
