Two Whole Hands!

November 30th Liam turned TEN! 10! I can't believe I have a 10 year old.  For his birthday he wanted hibachi.  We rounded everyone up and met at Samurai's in Murfreesboro for dinner.

Saki squirt bottle!

Papa says, "No more!"

FIRE!!!!

He loved the fire!

The kiddos enjoying the show

Water for the birthday boy!

Singing Happy Birthday with a red velvet Nothing Bundt Cake!

Happy Birthday Liam Barker!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving I attempted my Grandmothers Caramel Cake and her Burnt Caramel Pies.

I put the icing on the cake too early and it started to slide off the cake.  The burnt caramel pies didn't set up like I hoped they would :(

First meal was with the Brasfield's.  This year we had it a Robert & Mariah's house.   Marlisa came dressed and ready to eat turkey!

John Lytle hanging out with Ryan - learning all about them Braves!

Family pic ... Ryan would have to ruin the picture >eyeroll< but check out those two on the bottom left corner :)

I came home with some ideas of things to change to possibly help my pies set up and not have to eat them with a straw.  I'm proud (and I'm sure my Grandmother would be too!) to say that my minor changes worked and my second batch of pies were a success!

This brings me to meal #2 at Mark & Maggies house for McWhorter Thanksgiving. We went over early to help make food.  Those pies came with me!

Annalise was there to make sure we were doing it all right ....  and sleeping on the job!

Living the life ....

Reid found someone to go outside and throw the football with him.  That boy has been obsessed with football here lately!

I also attempted my Grandmother's yeast rolls.  I made the dough a day before and then let them rise all day long.  They were probably the best I've made yet!

Uncle Barry playing on the Oculus ... while we all enjoyed the entertainment!

Hayes checking out which dessert he is going to eat first!

Nannie playing football with the boys ...

And then the big boys taking over the TV to watch football

I mean just look at those rolls!!! YUM!!!!!!

.... and that food!!!!

Boys are full and burning up some energy

Stuffing our faces and enjoying each other's company!

So much to be Thankful for!!!

Go Vols!

On November 20th we took the boys to their first Tennessee Football game.  It was the game against South Alabama.

We got there early and watched the Vol walk..

Reid got to fist bump his favorite player - Hendon Hooker!  He had no idea it was him until after the fact - LOL

The boys called him TenneClaus

He had orange and while candy canes to hand out! So cute!

Waiting to get into the stadium

Watching the cheerleaders enter the stadium...

.... and the band!

I love watching the Pride of the Southland band play and do their thing on the field so that the team can run through the "T"!  Give me chill bumps everytime!

My cousins, Carol and Kathy, from Memphis were there!  I made sure to get a picture.  We ended up moving down with them and watching the rest of game in their section during the last quarter.

The drive home from Knoxville is about 3 hours.  These boys couldn't hang!!!
