Every year my father in law gets tickets to different events through his work. Usually we go to the Nashville Zoo every year. This year they offered Dollywood tickets. Joann booked a cabin for the weekend and I took off half a day July 23rd to make our way down to Pigeon Forge. We stopped in our local flooring place and picked out our flooring before the trip started. When we made it into Pigeon Forge we found a Publix so I ran in and picked up some cereal, milk and frozen pizzas for dinner! The first thing the boys wanted to do when we got there was get in the hot tub.
Then it was iPad time...
They had an arcade game that they enjoyed as well!

We got up early the next morning to try to beat the crowd. They pick you up in your parking section by trolley and take you to the front gate to check in
Once we got through security and scanned our tickets we had the boys measured and wrist bands placed. This was so it was easy to tell which ride the boys could and couldn't ride.
Preggers got her a scooter and I took all the pictures - HAHA
Liam found some drums
These two were fearless. They rode every ride - even the big scary rollercoasters- without any hesitation. And then wanted to do it again. There were a couple moments where last minute they wanted to back out but then pressed on and were glad they did in the end. Liam is NOT a fan of rollercoasters.
We made it to the last train ride of the day. It was a nice break from walking around all day. And the views were breathtaking!
They found a ride they could all ride on together!
Running out some energy while the adults stuffed their faces with cinnamon bread - OH. MY. GOODNESS! That stuff is amazing!
We stayed for the firework and drone show. The fireworks were first but you can see the drones in the background starting to take shape.
They were programed to music. It was really neat to watch it!
Sunday morning we packed up the cabin and went to eat breakfast at Frizzle Chicken. It was a neat atmosphere and the kids enjoyed it!
They have singing chickens on the wall and every 10-15 minutes or so they bust out in song.
All the chickens are named after famous people with a chicken reference attached to their name somehow. We sat under Kim KardashiHEN.
Quick family picture before we made the trek back home. It was a perfect quick getaway before the new school year. Thankful for the times we get to spend together.
