Saturday, May 10th was our baby shower for the twins. It was from 2-4 at the Adminstrative School Board Room. They used the colors that I'm going to be using for the boys room and it looked so good!
Red Velvet cake from The Kake Lady …. my FAVORITE!!!!!
Yummy food! We had chicken salad sandwiches, a fruit and veggie tray, and pickle roll ups! We washed it all down with fruit tea, lemonade and water!
Liam had a blast playing with Adalyn, Alex and Rhodes! It was nice having kids there for him to play with and keep him occupied. Plus, he got some gifts from family members for him to play with too!
Oh the belly ….
Ryan calls my belly button "the turkey timer" he says it look like the little red thing that pops out of the turkey when you cook it and its done. He feels like I won't make it another week and that "I'm done cooking." I, on the other hand, don't think I'm ready and want them to "cook" a little longer so that they are big and healthy enough for me to bring them home with us!
My Momma! So thankful for all that she does for us!
We played a game where everyone wrote a message on the diaper and I had to read them out loud and guess who wrote it. Some were really funny! I can't wait to read them in the middle of the night when the insomnia tears have kicked in and I need a little laugh!
All my family and friends that came to celebrate!
We also played the game where everyone has to guess how big my belly was. Everyone was WAY off except for 3 people and it was a close one but Penny Howe won the prize! Here are the bellies together. I hope and pray that we don't deliver on the same day. We both want to be there for each other when we deliver. Ideally, I would like for her to deliver first so I don't have to lug 2 newborns and a 2 year old to Nashville all while breastfeeding and all the other nice postpartum stuff that goes on in the first 2 weeks when you get home! HAHA
Overwhelmed with love and gifts!
The wonderful girls who put it on: Holly Jones, Hollyn Clark, Margaret Bell and Katy Wells. I love these girls and have known them pretty much all of my life. I couldn't ask for better girlfriends! Aunt Mandy and Mary are missing from the picture but they were just as important in putting it all together!
Opening all the wonderful gifts we received!
Shirts that say "He did it" with arrows pointing to each other. Hilarious!
Liam played so hard and was having so much fun he just wouldn't fall asleep….. until we pulled into the driveway. Of course we had a graduation party to be at 30 minutes later and the nap didn't last long. Needless to say he went home with nana later while Ryan and I went to another graduation party. We picked him up a little before midnight and he was still wide awake. He finally fell asleep around 12:30 when we got in bed and turned off the TV and put on Pandora lullabies!
Boy will we need these!!!! There is roughly 15 boxes of diapers and 6 big boxes of wipes. Not to mention all the packs of diapers and packs of wipes too. We are blessed with so many friends and family who love us and these boys and it was truly shown Saturday at the party. We are so thankful for each and everyone of them! Our cup (and diaper/wipe stash) runneth over!
