Hope & Hollyn Go to Disney!

After my trip to Disney in the fall with all my family, I knew that I wanted to go back.  This time it was going to be a girls trip!  So, I called Hollyn and she was totally on board! We planned a weekend trip for March.  Once the bands were in, I decorated them up for us!

We hopped on an airplane early Friday morning ....

.... and then hopped on the Magical Express to Disney World.

The moment we got on the bus the ears were put on!

We got a really good deal to stay at The Caribbean Beach Resort.  We decided to try it out since this would never be a resort option with our families due to prices.  It's just too expensive and you don't spend a lot of time at the resorts anyway.  We are the value resort kind of people!  The moment you walk in it smells like the beach. This was the lobby.

Checked in and walking to our room!

Our room number & room.

Our bands were too cute - unfortunately our stickers did last us long!

Our goal was to ride as many rides, take as many fun Memory Maker pictures that we had found on Pinterest and eat all of our favorite snacks.  Im pretty sure we had a successful weekend!

First meal was lunch at Columbia Harbor House.  The lobster roll was awesome!  Throughout our weekend, Hollyn and I would get different things and share them so we could taste it all!

Checked off our list!

One of the many parades!

Meet and greets!  We tried to fit in as many of these as we could too!
Our motto all weekend was "Never Grow Up."  We felt as though we were kids all weekend!
It was very fitting that Peter Pan was our first meet and greet!

First ride of the day - Splash Mountain!!!!

Snack time was a Lefou's Brew!  IT WAS AMAZING!  It has made its way onto the must haves list for every trip I go on.

The off to meet Gaston.

I'm a little obsessed with the Toy Story Aliens for some reason.  When I saw this popcorn bucket I knew I had to have it!

He became my side kick and made it into many photo opportunities!

Saved the best for last - the infamous Dole Whip!!!

While waiting for our next fast passes, we would ride rides with short wait times.  We decided to ride the Little Mermaid ride then hop on over to meet her.  She was sweet and complemented us on our nails.

This was a thing all weekend.  We seemed to be in the front of most rides we were on at least once.

We ended Friday night in the most magical way.  We skipped out on watching the Happily Ever After show to save that for Saturday night.  While we were riding Dumbo the fireworks started.  It was so neat to watch them on the ride.  There was no one waiting to ride so we rode it twice.  By the way, during the fireworks show is a good time to catch those rides with usually long wait times!!

My alien friend rode rides with us too!

Hollyn got the Mickey pretzel with cheese and I got the churro and chocolate sauce and we shared!  Can't go wrong with either!

Saturday morning we got up SUPER early to be the first ones through the gate.  Our goal was to get there first so that we could catch some of the more popular rides when they don't have long waits.

We had time to stop at Starbucks to get a coffee.

We were literally one of the first ones to get onto Splash Mountain that morning.  We practiced what we were going to do for our picture before hand.  This was my favorite ride picture of the weekend!

Note to self - Line #1 - you get REAL wet, so don't wear a white shirt!  Also #2 - never wear blue jean shorts to Disney World!  I was miserable.  I tried to find shorts in the stores for hours after the water rides because my shorts just wouldn't get dry!

Oh this one makes me laugh!  We had a really sassy male couple in front of us in at previous ride that held his hand up like mine the ENTIRE ride.  We laughed about that the rest of the day.

Never Grow Up!

Mary Poppins!

Mickey chocolate bar

Lunch was at Cinderella's Royal Table.  To eat here it takes TWO table service meals.  For those that don't know what that means - that's TWO days worth of a sit down meals.  For us that didn't matter because we had quick service meals and snacks that we shared the rest of the time.

I wanted to do this because I knew that with a household full of boys I would never get to experience this table service meal.  Once it was our reservation time we were taken in to see Cinderella.

Trying to contain her excitement.

This restaurant is located inside Cinderella's Castle.

Lots of windows and stained glass.  We were excited that we got a table by the window!!!

I was not excited about the menu choices.  I'm a chicken and cheeseburger kind of girl and this was just too much for my simple palate.

Snow White

Ariel

Aurora "Sleeping Beauty"

Jasmine

In order for us to get a picture with both the princesses, Hollyn and I the hostess would take our pictures for us.  He thought it would be funny to photobomb our last picture!

Dessert

You can never have too many castle pictures!

This is probably my favorite ride in Magic Kingdom!!! Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!!!

The Cheshire Cat Tail was also a first for me and on my snack bucket list!  It was good but probably won't get it again.

The Fairy Godmother.  This lady used to dress up as Snow White when she was young lady.

Peter Pan float (key lime dole whip in sprite) and the Rapunzel Cone (Lemon dole whip with edible flowers in a purple cone)

Fun tip - most memory maker photographers have different "magic shots" available.  You just have to ask them before you take your picture if they have any.  They will make you pose and when your picture has uploaded on your app you will be able to see what the magic shot is!  In the beginning of the blog you probably saw they ones with Tinkerbell.  Those were "magic shots" along with this one with Pascal, the chameleon from the movie Tangled.

That reflection though ....

Too bad this was an expensive Kate Spade bag or it would have come home with me.  Who says we have to grow up?

Hanging with Walt and Mickey

These were some of our pinterest pictures we wanted to recreate.  They wouldn't let us take the balloons without buying them but they let us hold them in order to take pictures.

Hollyn peeking out to see if they were taking our pictures....

... then me ...

... then both of us!

Probably my favorite quick service meal.  Corn dog nuggets and chili cheese fries from Casey's Corner on Main St.  In the Disney app I found you can order ahead and tell them the time you will be there.  They will have it ready when you show up!  Hollyn and I found our spots for the Happily Ever After show.  She saved our spots while I went and picked up my food.  It was so easy!!!

Between the both of us we got some AMAZING photos of the firework show.  I literally cry every time I watch it!

Enchanted Tales with Belle.

HAHA!!! Oh me - Neither of us care for the "It's A Small World" ride.   Its boring and ALWAYS has a long wait time.  We were walking and talking about if we should do it or not.  Hollyn said "I will only ride it if the wait time it 10 minutes or less!"  Thinking she was being smart because that ride is never ten minutes or less, she was wrong.  The wait time was 10 minutes.  Sooo... we rode it anyway just to say we did.

Tangled lantern picture!

Hei Hei cone.  I don't think they are still featuring this or the Rapunzel cone anymore so I feel special that I was able to enjoy them both!  It was raspberry and pineapple dole whip in a blue cone.

We ended the night meeting Tinkerbell and ...

... Celebration Mickey and Minnie!!!!

OMG they were the best!!!

We were all so excited to see each other!!!

During our conversations Mickey pointed to my heartbeat necklace.  When I told him I was a nurse he signed that he loved me and gave me the biggest hug!

Here they are signing our autograph photo.  As Mickey was passing the pen to Minnie they kissed noses.  It was so cute!  They are in character at all times!!!  I love it!!!

Loaded down with all my goodies.  Taking home my alien and the Stitch I brought home for Kane.  I may look excited to go home but I was sad to leave.

He's hanging on for dear life!  Since being home, Stitchy, which he is now called has become Kane's sidekick and sleeps by his side every night.

Now off to plan our next girl.... I mean family trip to Disney World! ;)
