Coffee County Fair 2014

This year was the boys 1st fair trip.  This year is also the first time Liam was tall enough to ride rides by himself.  But more on that in a minute.

Liam loves animals so we knew that he would love going to the barn to see and pet them all.

Checking out the bunnies.

I love this picture of us!  Ryan is smiling and Liam is looking and the camera… for once!

Liam finally met our neighbor Harper and rode his first ride with her.  Unfortunately, it was an awful experience for him and he didn't want to ride any more rides the rest of the night.  This little train was more of a roller coaster type ride and when they went around the curve it jerked his head back and he did not like that at all.  Ryan was a nervous wreck, I guess because he thought this little train was going to derail and a limb be cut off or something like that.  Who knows!  Its a kiddie ride, let him enjoy it! Lol!  Anyways, it was 2 for 1 night and Ryan bought $20 worth of tickets which was 22 tickets!  Each ride was 3 or 4 tickets.  That's $3-$4 a ride!  Ridiculous!  I digress.  Maggie and I ended up using some of the tickets and riding some rides.  It was nothing like when we were kids.  We were actually fearing for our lives and thinking about what our little families would do if that cart was to come off its hinges and we die or if they tighten the screws on a daily basis.  We never had those fears as a child.  It was still a adrenaline rush and we had a good time!

Liam didn't care about getting a prize.  He just wanted to pick up all the ducks and throw them back into the water.

Liam refused to ride the "merry-go-round"  the first time we walked around the fair.  Ryan even got on the ride with him and before it even started he wanted off.  Aunt Maggie convinced him to get on and sit in one of the chairs with her.  He seemed to enjoy it once he realized it wasn't that bad!  He liked waving at all of us every time he came around.

On top of spending a fortune for tickets, they rip you off on these little games.  You pay $5 to pick up a rubber fish with a magnet and get a dirty little stuffed animal.  Liam always picked the weirdest ones like a carrot and a purple seahorse.

He didn't want to at first but I made him get on this train with me.  We should of rode this train first before his fair experience was scarred by the first one because he loved this one.  He still didn't want to ride anymore rides after that.  Next year I need to find him a buddy to go with him so that he has someone to ride with.  That will be the good thing with the twins.  They will always have sometime to ride with!

We ate corn dogs and cotton candy and I had my ball park pizza.  I indulged in deep fried cookie dough which by the way was AMAZING!  Liam ended up going the next day with Papa and then Nana took him the day after that.  He has battle scars from some of the rides and I am glad that his fear of the fair is gone.  As nasty as the fair is, I have lots of memories of the fair and how much fun I had growing up.  I want that for all my kids as well!

Twins: 4 Months

Hold up … 4 Months already?!?!?!

We lost our sweet Aunt Ginny this month.  I don't think anyone was as excited as her when we found out we were having twins.  She loved you boys and we sure are going to miss her!

Here they are all dressed up for her visitation.

Boys and their toys.

Uncle John Hardy getting in some practice before Hardy Lee gets here!

All my boys watching cartoons.

This is how we get things done around my house!  My life consists of multitasking!  I have had to stop pumping due to some unfortunate issues that I will not go into detail (you will thank me lol)  I finished up the current tub of formula and I'm using up my frozen milk.  Once that is gone I am going to use the the dairy cow also known as my sister-in-law.  Lucky her, she is able to feed not only her little one but she makes enough each time she pumps to feed my 2 as well.  It's ridiculous the amount of milk she produces and has froze.  Enough so that they have had to buy a separate deep freezer just for milk.  It's going to be better for them and cheaper for me!

It's football time in Tennessee!  GO VOLS!!!  Watching our first UT game!

Liam sure does love his baby brothers!  This picture makes it look like Reid is as big as Liam!

Finally got the boys decals up on their walls!  Thanks Uncle Mark and Aunt Maggie!

Gotta have a picture of all 3 of them!

Dressed and ready for Landon's "digger" birthday party!

We have become fond of our hands here lately.  I don't think they are teething but I think they are working their way to it!  They are 99% of the time soaked in slobber and love chewing on anything they can get in their mouth.

September 13th was Ryan's birthday.  He wanted a strawberry cake from the strawberry patch.  Unfortunately for him they don't make cakes out of strawberry season unless it's a holiday so I had to make a cake.  It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself!  Homemade strawberry cream cheese icing!  Yum!!!

Our first trip to the fair.  More about that in another blog!

This is what papa does to them when he has them all together.  Im sure there will be many more of these as they grow up.  I love that they are so close together in age!

Snuggling together before we get ready for our doctor appointment!  They are SO identical!

Waiting for Dr. Eastham to come in and check us out!  I love this facial expression!

Brotherly conversation

The boys had their 4 month check up September 22nd with Dr. Eastham @ Tennessee Pediatric.
Here are their statistics:

Reid
Weight: 13lb 10oz (12.34%)
Height: 23.75 inches (3.49%0
Head Circumference: 41cm (26.84%)

Kane
Weight: 13lbs 7.5oz (10.44%)
Height:  24.5 inches (18.33%)
Head Circumference: 42 cm (58.59%)

They have their daddies big head! Haha!  I can't believe that in just 4 months they have gained 9 pounds!  I am so thankful for healthy babies!  They both got 3 shots again.  They had the same round as their 2 month shots.  It breaks my heart to see them cry and wimpier!  I was all by myself because Ryan was at work so it was even harder on me!  But they calmed down and everyone was asleep once we got in the car and got down the road!  I picked up Liam at mom's work and we went to eat mexican with Kelcey and Ansleigh!  They have ran a low grade fever all afternoon.  I am hoping for sleep tonight but I highly doubt it!  Happy 4 months boys … please slow down or I am going to just have to have another one ;)

Watch us grow!

Our cousin Connor loves us!  I have a picture of him holding Liam at this age too!

This month we got to watch Aunt Maggie get baptized!  We are so proud of her!

Lazy days at the house before mom has to go back to work!
My first day back to work was August 3rd.  It was a sad day but I have to say it wasn't as sad as when I first left Liam.  I knew what to expect and I thought of it as a little break.  I started back 1 day a week and we will see how it goes from there!

We love consignment sales!  We racked up at this one in Murfreesboro!!!

Trying out our new stroller.  It holds all three of them!

Sweet babies!

Liam being a big boy and sitting all by himself as he gets his hair cut!

They even sleep the same!

Finally finished their bedding.  I hand made their crib sheet and crib skirt!  Everything else was custom made off of Etsy.

Liam always wants to be in the picture with them!  He loves his brothers!

We are starting to smile and coo!

My boys are growing up so big.  They take up a lot of my time and I haven't been good at keeping up with my blog.  I hope to do better.  It's a struggle because I don't want to miss anything but I want to document everything as well!  These next few months will be super busy with the holidays coming up.  I guess I need to start preparing now!
