Playing Catch Up

Once again here I am all backed up on blogs.  He is a couple months worth of some random things we have done.  I blogged previously about all the big events so this is some of the in-between stuff that has gone on!

Liam is really timid when it comes to riding on things.  Wanting to put his helmet on and ride his bicycle was a big deal! Here he is doing it all by himself!

The twins are becoming more and more independent.  This day we tried Spaghetti with a fork.  They are getting better about using utensils to eat but have by no means mastered it yet!  Practice makes perfect!

Feeding the dinosaur Lunch too!

This is our night time routine.  After bath we snuggle up with binkies and a sippy cup of milk and watch some TV before bed!

Our first trip to Dr. Eastham's office for the sickness!  All bundled up for the ride there!  It had been two weeks of trying to take care of it at home and I was tired of my kids being sick.  We were given an antibiotic and sent on our merry way!

Reid was climbing on a speaker at Nana and Papa's house and some how turned it over onto his toe and almost ripped the top of his toe off.

Couple days later he decided that that skin didn't need to be there anymore and pulled it off.  He is one tough cookie.  It is now healed and you can't even see where that happened!

I have had to move their cribs apart from each other because of this.   While it looks cute in the picture, Reid tortures Kane.  Reid climbs over when Kane is sleeping and jumps on him and kicks him, waking him up.  Kane loves his sleep and he is not a happy camper.  So I had to separate them so Reid will leave him alone and Kane can get his rest.

Another picture of bed time routine!

Second trip to Dr. Eastham's office for the sickness.  First round of antibiotics didn't touch them and by this time we are going on a month with this.  Dr Eastham gave us a different antibiotic to try.

Cant remember who this is or who did it but yes, that is a bite mark!

Dr. Eastham and his Halloween costume.

What?!?! I couldn't believe that this was happening!!! I had to take pictures to document.  The twins were sitting still watching Liam play the iPad and Liam was allowing it!!!!!  That is a big deal in this house!

This happened multiple times throughout the day!

This cold has really taken a toll on them.  They aren't eating the best and are super tired.  As you can see in these pictures, Kane was too tired to eat!

Not Reid! He ate all his Peas!

It's happening again!!!

Wrestling!

Boo boo at church!  He fell and busted his eye on the toy shelf!

They love their papa!

I got a new job at the VA in Murfreesboro in the float pool.  On my last day of orientation I took a different way home.  My car was acting funny and at the main red light on MTSU campus my car decides to just die on me.  Luckily I have the hook up and Mark new someone who had a trailer so he loaded it up and came to get me.  We decided since I will be driving to and from Murfreesboro and I usually always have the boys that I need a more reliable car.  I missed my Flex.  We traded it in to get out of debt and since we have achieved that goal I decided I wanted my Flex back!

Liam's Big Boy Bed!

For Liams birthday we changed his toddler bed into a full size bed!  I hoped that once he saw his new bed and his new Avenger sheets he would be excited to sleep in his big boy bed... negative!  He has since slept in his bed a handful of times.  I think I have slept in his bed more than he has just so that I could have some room when everyone decides to wake up in the middle of the night and crawl in my bed.  Maybe one day he will finally make it to his room and stay there.  If Ryan has it his way I think he would keep him in our bed until he moves out lol!

4 Year/18 month Check Up's

Im so sad because I totally forgot to take pictures of our trip to see Dr. Eastham.  It's not like I had my hands full or anything!  I took the boys all by myself because Ryan used to be off on Mondays and then his schedule changed.  And if you go to Tennessee Pediatrics and see Dr. Eastham you know how hard it is to get into see him sometimes.  I was not cancelling that appointment.  It was Liam's birthday and I should not have scheduled a doctor appointment on his birthday.  You know why? Because when you are 4 years old and you go to a well check up on your birthday you get shots.  Poor guy ended up getting 3 shots.  But he is she shot ready for Kindergarten, which won't be for another 2 years.  Only shot he will need next year is his Flu shot.

Liam had his check up first and he was able to do everything they told him to do.  He showed them how to write his name even though he drew it upside down as though he was writing it so she could read it.  I was impressed that his little mind thought that way but his name was backwards.  He then wrote it the right way.  Here are his stats from his check up:

Height: 39 inches (22%)

Weight: 31 pounds (10%)

Next were the little boys.  They had completely tore up the room by the time he came in.  Dumped all the books in the floor and looking for something else to get into.  Dr. Eastham just laughs at them.  He tells me that they are well behaved for their age when it comes to their check ups.  They let him do everything and didn't put up a fight.  That makes me proud because I feel like they are the total opposite.  It's nice to be reassured that they are good, well behaved kids .... sometimes.  We have been in and out of his office a couple times in the last couple of months for runny noses and coughs that just won't go away.  Two different antibiotics later and they were cough and snotty nose free for about 2 weeks and now its back with a vengeance.  This time they are worse but there really isn't anything else to do besides what I am doing.  They have to build up their immunity and I have to let it take its course.  Other than that they checked out fine and are right on track for their age.  Tall and skinny.  He pulled some impressive ear wax out of Kane's ear with a tool I wish I would have dug out of the trash before we left.  Kane also had some killer diaper rash from the diarrhea that this sickness had brought upon him.  He gave us some Calmoseptine samples for that.  They both got two shots a piece.  Talk about anxiety ... 3 kids screaming from shots and only 2 arms to hold them all.  Shew! Everyone finally calmed down and I carried Liam and pulled the twins in the wagon.  I bring them in the wagon because my double stroller doesn't fit through their front door.  I mean really its a Pediatricians office, it should accommodate a double stroller! Anyways, we all made it out alive and came home to eat some lunch. Here were their stats:

Reid

Height: 33.25 inches (74%)
Weight: 22.06 pounds (19%)
Head Circumference: 48.5 cm (78%)

Kane

Height: 33.5 inches (80%)
Weight: 21.78 pounds (16%)
Head Circumference: 48.75 cm (83%)

We took our pictures this time with Katie Dorak Photography!  She did a great job capturing our family and the struggles we endure.  I figured there weren't going to be any good pictures by how uncooperative the boys were but much to my surprise there were some really good ones!  And some to remember for sure!

These next two pictures are our lives on a daily basis.

Liam's birthday theme this year in Ninja Turtles so we had to have a little fun and get in costume.

I can't believe this boy is 4!  He is so smart and so well behaved!
