ATL Trip

Thursday May 26th I got up and did what I always do before we take a trip - cleaned and picked up the house.  Once I was done with that I started packing for our short trip.  After we were packed we dropped Ref off at my parents and made our way to he gas station for some road trip snacks.  It's a Barker family tradition lol!  We were on the road by 1130.

I wanted to leave in time to make a stop at Buc-ee's.  Which happened to be a perfect stop for a bathroom break and more snacks!

We had to get Icees's!!!!  They are our favorite!

Rain, Rain Go Away! We've got baseball to watch today!

Brisket sandwich and Beaver Nuggets!!

See you next time Buc-ee's!  We WILL be back!  Like tomorrow on our way home! hehe!

After lots of traffic and rerouting we finally made it to our hotel - Sheraton Galleria.

After we got settled into the hotel room- on the 16th floor- we decided to get a Lyft over to The Battery and find the boys and I some shirts.  They were like - "Is this a taxi?"

Walking through The Battery ...

Some friends of ours ended up buying tickets to the same game.  We hung out here and let the boys play while we waited for them to get there.

We make it into the stadium and start figuring our what everyone wants to eat.  Liam chose this cheese pizza that was just as big as he is.

Our seats were in section 215

Well, hello Dansby ;)

My boys :)

Let's play ball!

We found the World Series trophy on our way to find the Green's!

The view from where Vanessa, Adam and their boys sat.

On a mission to find cotton candy!!!

Our first Braves game!

The outcome wasn't what we hoped for but we battled there in the last inning.  We lost 4-1 to the Phillies.

Little did we know that our adventure was just getting started.  There were so many people we figured we probably couldn't find an Uber or Lyft and we weren't THAT far from our hotel.  So we started walking...

We got lost a time or two but after a mile and a half of walking we finally made it to our hotel.

These boys had sooooo much fun together!  Thankful for new friendships!

Liam, Reid, Kane, Easton & Case

CSES Field Day 2022

May 13th was also Field Day at College Street.  I wasn't there for it but super thankful to those that took pictures!  I filtered through them and picked out my kids! Haha!  Liam's class is in red, Reid's in blue and Kane's is in green

I always remember how much fun Field Day was when I was little.  Plus it always meant that school was almost over!!!!

Birthday Bash

Reid & Kane turned 8 on May 16th.  On May 13th we had their birthday bash.  The boys wanted to have all their favorite people around them to celebrate so we chose to do a cookout at the house and let the boys pick some friends to spend the night.

I booked a bounce house and they delivered it that morning while the kids were at school.  Once they got home it was OVER!

I'm so happy to be back in a place where we can entertain again.  It's one of our favorite things!

Time to sing to the birthday boys!

Carson & John Lytle picking flowers for their mama's - hehe!

Opening presents...

He has been all about baseball now that flag football is over!

Trampline police ...

We had 10 boys in our house that night. Liam, Reid, Kane, Hudson, Brooks, Ben, Brycen, Caleb, Cooper & Luke. Before we went to bed Ryan told them he would get up and make breakfast in the morning.  At midnight, I finally had to go upstairs and threaten some of the boys to lay down and go to sleep.  I figured since they were up so late that they would wake up late ... WRONG!!!  They were up at 530 in the morning!!!!!

When I heard them I quickly woke Ryan up and said "Remember when you said you would make them breakfast?" So Ryan got up and started making the boys breakfast.

Eggs, biscuits, bacon and sausage!

Breakfast = more fuel for playtime!

Drinking my coffee and watching them play

They boys slept with us the night of their actual birthday.  I don't sleep well when they are in my bed so I'm up super early when they do.  But just look how cute they are.  I'll miss these moments one day!

They wanted dunkaroo's for breakfast. So that's what they got!

Happy Birthday boys!  I can't believe you are already 8!!! Time is flying by but we love watching each of your personalities shine!  You boys will do big things one day!  And we cant wait to watch it all unfold!
