Easter

Our jam packed Easter weekend started off with our annual Good Friday Last Mile walk.  We met up at Tristar, grabbed our weight to carry and started walking.

The kids joined in too! They quickly regretted the decision to carry weight and after listening to them whine, so did the parents!!!!

As I was listening to Jake talk at one of the stops I looked down to see this.  I laughed so hard inside.  He was in a complete trance in superhero mode.  Fighting off those villains that were telling him to close his eyes and take a nap!!!

The kiddos listening (sorta) to the story

After church the Brasfield clan came over for lunch and egg hunt.

Enjoying the beautiful weather!

Time to find eggs!!!

Then dinner and egg hunt #2 next door at the in laws house!

We made them lay down and the youngest ones get a head start!

Thankful, grateful and blessed that we get this time with our family and teaching these kids the true meaning of Easter.  He is Risen!

The End of Another School Year

I was dreading May to roll around.  Knowing this was Liam's last year of elementary school was a big deal and a touchy subject for this momma's heart!  Liam will be off to middle school next year while the twins still have 2 more years as a College Street Cougar.

Some of Reid's class on Field Day

Kane's class on Field day.

One thing about Liam is he will try out anything once to find what he likes to do.  We have tried most every sport and now on to non athletic things.  This year he tried out for Singers at school.  Throughout the year they have performed in different musicals and shows.  Their last show of the year was Music In The Park.

The Singers sang songs they had worked on throughout the school year and the Steel Drum band played their songs as well.

Liam's last few weeks of school seemed like nothing but fun.  They took multiple field trips and had movie days.  Just spent time making those core memories of their last year of elementary school.  This was their group picture at the Cumberland Caverns.

Only the fourth grade class participates in Lemonade day but the whole school participates in taste testing the lemonade!

5th Grade Graduation.  It was held at the Rotary Amphitheater by the Rec Center.  It was a beautiful day for a Graduation.  I couldn't be more proud of Liam and his accomplishments thus far.

Singing Auld Lang Syne as their farewell song.

This kid is going to do big things.  He has big dreams of joining the Space Force or doing something with engineering.

He will go to Westwood Middle School next year and intends on trying out band.  He says he wants to play the Trombone.

After Graduation we ate dinner at the Waffle House per the graduates request.  Reid and Kane found the jukebox and was the after dinner entertainment.  They are currently obsessed with Michael Jackson.

These came up in my email and I about lost it.  This is every grade picture all side by side.  Man, they grow up too fast!

Now to enjoy summer break!!!!

Mother's Day Weekend

The Wednesday afternoon before Mother's Day weekend Liam had a Dr appt for a med check.  He had to miss his last CSES Singers ice cream party so we stopped for rolled ice cream and boba!

It was nice just getting to spend time with just him.  We were stuck in traffic on our way to the Dr so we were about 15 min late but had good conversation.  It was a good start to the weekend of celebrating moms!

Friday night we had a surprise birthday party for Katy.  We have been friends since middle school.  I cherish her friendship so much!

Our gym crew

Saturday morning was Katy's birthday workout and it was a good one!

After the workout we went to the Dusty Elam farm for all the fun festivities there.

Then after that we had Carson Chester's 2nd birthday party. It was Toy Story themed so of course we had to participate in the photo op!

Sweet Addi J!

Sunday morning we all went to church.  Our connection group is doing a study on Parenting and we always go over our time with discussion.  That means one of us has to sneak out and go get our kids out of their classes.  I couldn't miss the opportunity to snap this picture of all our boys together.

For dinner we cooked out at our house.  My parents, Ryan's parents and Maggie and her crew all came over.  As Ryan and I were getting everything together we started reminiscing about what we were doing that day 12 years ago.  12 years ago we lived on Polk street and had a cookout to tell everyone we were pregnant with Liam.  We also cooked ribs that day too.

It was an jam packed weekend but we are so thankful for all the mom's we get to love on and celebrate not just on Mother's day but everyday!
